Counselors work with the client to establish awareness about issues in the clients past that are hindering their present and future success. Special methods and techniques  are utilized to help clients acknowledge and understand these issues so they can heal and find closure. While coaches and counselors may use many of the same language and techniques, coaching begins in the present and is future focused. Coaches do not teach but help the client through a process of discovery. Coaches  actively listen, ask the difficult questions, identify limited or faulty thought processing, and work with the client to establish action steps and a follow up plan for accountability. Coaches also focus on solutions, but draw solutions out of the client. Coaches support the client in creating a plan of action and implementing it.

Consultants are specialists who are paid for solutions. They diagnose the problem and propose a solution. Consultant give the clients suggested plans of actions to take. Many times they implement it as well.  Ultimately, clients gain long-term problem solving capabilities.

We will have you complete an interest inventory to help you narrow down career opitions that align with your personality. We will work together to create a plan of action to accomplish the goals that will get you to a filling and satisfying career.

We assist families with the information to help navigate through the process of 504's, IEP's, Behavior Plans, parent-teacher conferences, and  SIT or EMT meetings.

We support families to adocate for their kiddos in school.
